Mercutio's eulogy
Benvolio speaking
---
Mercutio. I say the name, and about comes what into my mind?
Mercutio, always lively. To entertain, you strived. Always.
Mocking and playful, reckless and free.
Most fortunate were we.

Mercutio, I remember you well.
Quickest of wit, ever as affable,
flamboyant as the sun
who, ever declares his presence,
spoken of fondly.
Mercutio, my friend.

Mercutio, I remember you well.
Many since days past whence we met, and countless spent alongside your fanatical harangues, spreading laughter about all Verona.
I remember our escapades in our fair town, all too many of them.
And you would chastise me so if I said before,
so many words, said you, barely I remember them.
Mercutio, always ready to speak.
Mercutio, our friend.

Mercutio...

Mercutio, I remember you well.
Ever yourself to your end,
for we thought you jest
we knew not.
Mercutio, fell you before our eyes
Mercutio, rest well, for your death has brought peace to our fair now-saddened town.

Mercutio. I say the name, and about comes what into my mind?
Mercutio, always lively. To entertain, you strived. Always.
Mocking and playful, reckless and free.
Most fortunate were we.
Most fortunate were we.
Quickest of wit, ever as affable,
flamboyant as the sun
who, ever declares his presence,
always ready to speak.

Mercutio, nothing to say now, have you? And none to say it with, I imagine.
Mercutio, dear friend, rest well and find peace.
Most fortunate were we, to have you as our friend,
yet we find not your value, 'till past your very end.
my spin on Mercutio's eulogy, written for English class.

edit: WOW WTF. I just noticed that a whole bunch of people have cheated in English class. you all suck.

Beautiful writing! Reading Romeo and Juliet for English class and I found it quite sad when Mercutio died. Very good job on Benvolio's point of view! c:
